Ring of Honor Review: February 16, 2020
It’s a weekend of presidential love. That means cuddling up by a roaring fire, sipping a lot of bubbly, and watching a great....clip show of RING OF HONOR!
Show opens in Philadelphia where Two Guys One Tag (my favorite) facing the Briscoes. Looks like a banger from the highlights. My guys win! They’re the number one contenders!
Now dumb dump Ian Rockyourbaby and my velveteen dream, Quinn Lippman, talking about all the new stars like the been here for months, Bateman. And Alex Zayne now facing Bandido from some weeks ago. Zayne seems like a young Sydel. He beats Bandido. An upset.
Back to a photo shoot where Castle is directing Joe Hendry. Castle is trying too hard.
Hi Quinny! RoH are touring. She’s hocking merch for the women. Recap of Sumi’s heel turn. Evil grandma facing AEW star, Nicole Savoy. Caprice calls her Sacoy. JR isn’t the only one. Anyway, crowd is asleep. Sumi does heel stuff and wins.
Fun fact: St. Valentine was a 3rd Century physician and clergyman. He ministered persecuted Christians in the still Pagan dominated Roman Empire. He also suffered from epilepsy. Oh, he was decapitated in 270 AD by Rome.
Brian Zane’s top 5 RoH factions: 5. SCUM; 4. The Embassy; 3. House of Truth; 2. Age of the Fall; 1. Generation Next.
Guess he forgot Bullet Club.
My least favorites (almost) Tracy Williams and Mark Haskins v Vincent and Bateman. Chuckles the Clown is on the outside. Still called Lifeblood is distracted by Chuckles. Mistake. Bad guys lose by DQ. Block of wood flees from a chair. Bad guys have a lady with them too. They exit. A lot of talk about injured Taven. Are they teasing Taven joining Lifeblood. He’s so good at factions.
The Bouncers (there are a lot of beer drinking gimmicks in wrestling but these two are the only ones who look like they live the gimmick). Teaming with Two Guys One Tag (Silas Young and Josh the Goods Woods) v Dan Maff and another AEW star Jeff Cobb joined by Lethal and the short tentacled Octopus, Jonathan Gresham
